Industry Readiness Training Overview: Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Use Work Success Skills to set goals, function in a team, manage stress and time, and conduct a job search that will include developing a resume, a cover letter and interviewing.
- Use the Internet and Microsoft Word and Excel to accomplish tasks.
- Read industrial prints.
- Use common measurement tools.
- Recognize and distinguish among different kinds of machines.
- Explain quality systems and Lean Manufacturing concepts and their importance.
- Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines.
- Explain basic electronics concepts.
- Work on a team that designs a manufacturing process for the building of a wagon, addressing such issues as the personnel, equipment, materials, time, quality and costs required to manufacture your wagon.
