Module 3 Introduction: (CU1 M3) Cell Structure and Function
In the last Module of Credit Unit 1, you will explore the components of plant and animal cells, with a brief look at how bacteria differ from more complex cells of the plant and animal kingdom. The focus of your studies in this Module will be examining how structure of cellular components lend themselves to a functional organism.
Module Outcomes:
- Describe how the properties of cells (organelles, membrane permeability) relate to larger-scale biological phenomena (gas exchange, nutrition, movement, etc.). (How can a cell control what gets in and out?)
