OA 110 - Business English

The first Credit Unit will consist of successfully completing Chapter 1. Chapter 1 covers sentence writing, subject-verb agreement, verb tense, capitalization, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, misplaced and dangling modifiers.

Credit Unit Outcomes:

• Analyze sentence structures to identify parts of speech and their roles in a sentence.
• Use appropriate English syntax in writing.
• Apply standard editing rules to a variety of sentences.
• Use correct English grammar in business writing.
